[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 오는 7월 2일 금요일 경기도시각장애인복지관은 강원도 속초시에서 경기도 거주 시각장애인을 대상으로 스킨스쿠버 체험을 진행한다고 밝혔다.

복지관에서는 2017년부터 매년 스킨스쿠버 행사를 실시해오고 있으며, 올해도 시각장애인의 바닷속 체험을 통해 해양 레저활동에 참여할 수 있도록 지원할 예정이라고 했다.

이번 행사는 전문 강사와 시각장애인이 1:1로 조를 이루어 스쿠버 장비 착용법, 호흡법 및 수신호 등 사전 교육을 통해 안전하게 진행할 수 있으며, 시원한 바닷속에서 스킨스쿠버 체험과 더불어 해양 생태계 보전 활동에 참여함으로써 환경 보호에도 이바지할 수 있고, 자세한 사항은 경기도시각장애인복지관으로 문의하면 된다고 했다.
