[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 6월 7일까지 속초시가 ‘2022년 시각·청각장애인용TV 무료보급사업 신청·접수’를 진행한다고 전했다.

이번 사업은 보건복지부 등록 시각·청각장애인 또는 국가보훈처 등록 눈·귀 상이등급자를 사업대상으로 하며, 장애정도 및 연령 등을 고려하여 대상자 선정 및 보급이 진행될 예정이고 신청은 관할 주민센터 방문 또는 홈페이지를 통해서 가능하며, 지난 2016년에서 2021년까지 지원대상자로 선정된 이력이 있는 경우 신청대상에서 제외된다고 밝혔다.

금번 보급 예정인 시각·청각장애인용TV는 지원 대상자에 맞추어 음성 안내 속도 및 높낮이 조절과 저시력 장애인을 위한 고대비 화면, 자막 분리 및 크기·색상·굵기·위치 등에 대한 자유로운 변경, 수어 화면에 대한 자동 탐색 및 크기 확대 등의 기능을 갖추고 있다고 했다.

속초시 관계자는 “이번 시각·청각장애인용TV 보급사업에 많은 대상자 분들이 관심을 가지고 신청에 참여하셔서 보다 편리한 방식으로 정보를 습득하고 일상생활을 영위할 수 있는 기회를 제공받으셨으면 한다.”라고 말했다.
