[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 11월 5일 의정부시는 보건복지부가 주최한 2021년 긴급복지지원사례 공모전에 응모해 복지정책과 희망복지팀의 사례가 장려상에 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

이번 공모전은 보건복지부-한국보건복지인력개발원 주관으로 위기상황에 놓인 가구에 대한 긴급복지지원서비스 사례를 공유하고 전국에 확산하여 긴급복지 서비스 수준을 상향평준화하고자 2021년 9월 개최됐으며, 의정부시 희망복지팀은의 ‘지역사회 인적안전망의 제보와 위기 탈출을 위한 든든한 버팀목, 긴급복지’사례가 수상했다고 했다.

특별히 이 사례는 대상 가구에게 잠재되어 있던 문제와 위기 발견, 그리고 해결 과정 속에서 인적안전망의 제보와 동 보건복지팀 및 시 희망복지팀의 통합사례관리를 통해 유기적이고 효과적인 지역사회 네트워크 팀웍을 보여준 사례였다고 했다.

특히 제보가 없었다면 세상 밖으로 나오지 못했을 위기가구 발견에 큰 역할을 한 동지역사회보장협의체 위원, 위기가구에 대한 발빠른 대처를 통해 촘촘한 버팀목으로서의 역할을 한 긴급지원, 적극적이고 즉각적인 개입을 통해 큰 변화를 이끌어 낸 통합사례관리, 이 모든 것이 어우러져 의미 있는 성과를 거둘 수 있었다고 했다.

또한 문제를 해결하기 위한 과정에서 지역 내 정신병원, 장애인 주간 보호시설, 장애인 활동지원센터, 장애인부모회, 청소년상담센터 등 다양한 민간기관과의 연계를 통해 지역보호체계 역할을 확고히 하는 계기가 됐다고 햇다.

그 후에도 모의 간이식수술을 통한 건강회복도 지원했고, 온 가족의 염원인 주거지 이전을 위해 긴급주거지원도 연계해 곧 새로운 보금자리로 이사갈 예정이라고 했다.

앞으로도 의정부시 희망복지팀은 위기가구를 발굴하고 어려움을 해소하여 가정의 기능을 회복하고 지역사회 내에서 안전하고 행복한 삶을 영위할 수 있도록 함께 돕고 지속적으로 노력할 것이라고 전했다.
