[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시 호원2동 복지지원과는 의정부 소방서와의 협력으로 호원권역 기초생활수급자, 차상위계층 등 100가구에 '취약가구 소화기 보급 사업'을 추진하였다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 취약가구의 안전한 생활을 위한 소화기 보급과 더불어 기수급자 가정의 추가적인 복지 욕구를 파악하고 위기 상황 선제적 해결을 위하여 호원권역 보건복지팀에서 의정부 소방서와 협력하여 추진하게 되었다고 했다.

호원권역 특화사업인 '호원권역 취약가구 소화기 보급 사업'은 지난 6월부터 호원2동·의정부2동·호원1동 보건복지팀에서 기수급자 100가구에 직접 찾아가 소화기 및 화재 경보기를 보급하였고 화재 발생 시 상대적으로 더 취약한 일반주택, 다세대 거주 취약 가구 대상으로 집중 지원하였다고 했다.

보급된 소화기는 가정용 소화기(ABC 분말 소화기)이며 호원권역 직원들이 의정부 소방서로부터 소화기 사용법을 사전 교육받고, 그 내용을 대상 가구에 소화기 전달 시 상세히 안내하였다고 했다. 

이정숙 호원권역동 국장은 “이번 소화기 보급을 계기로 호원권역 내 취약가구가 안전한 생활을 할 수 있도록 더욱 관심을 기울이겠다”고 밝혔다.
