[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 9월 9일 의정부시 호원2동 복지지원과는 의정부 명지회에서 권역 내 취약계층을 위한 후원물품 생수 600병을 기탁했다고 밝혔다. 

의정부 명지회는 회원사 간의 상생발전 및 지역사회 환원을 목적으로 결성된 의정부 소상공인들의 모임으로 작년 12월 사랑의 연탄나눔으로 주거환경이 열악한 어르신들께 연탄 1천200장과 영양제, 라면 등을 지원하였고, 지난 6월에는 호국보훈의 달을 맞이하여‘재가대상자 후원을 위한 사랑의 헌혈행사’를 개최해 마련한 후원물품을 보훈가족에게 전달하는 등 지속적인 나눔 활동으로 지역사회에 긍정적인 에너지를 전달하고 있으며, 이날 의정부 명지회에서 후원한 물품은 관내 복지기관으로 전달되어 사용할 예정이라고 했다.

이호직 의정부 명지회 회장은 “작은 도움이나마 필요한 곳에 전달되기를 바라며 앞으로도 꾸준히 기부활동을 이어갈 예정이니 이웃들에게 힘이 되길 희망한다”라고 밝혔다.
