[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 23일 의정부시는 실효성 있는 청년정책 수립을 위해 2021년 하반기 의정부시 청년정책위원회 회의를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

의정부시 청년정책위원회는 청년 관련 전문가 및 청년 15명으로 구성되어 있으며, 청년의 시정 참여를 보장하고 청년정책에 관한 주요사항을 심의하기 위해 지난해 10월에 출범했다고 전했다.

청년들의 의견을 충분히 반영하기 위해 지난 4월에 이어 두 번째로 개최됐고, 청년정책위원회는 이번 회의에서 청년협의체 각 분과별 위원이 직접 제안한 청년정책에 대해 청년정책위원 및 해당부서 담당팀장들이 자문을 해주는 소통의 시간을 가졌다고 했다.

청년협의체에서 제안한 분과별 제안정책은 교육·홍보분과 심리건강지원 프로그램 등 3개, 문화·예술분과 청년 예술인 주택 등 6개, 일자리분과 4차 산업 인재 양성 프로그램 1개, 주거·복지분과 주거상담 필요성 인식사업 및 주거상담사 양성 1개로 청년들의 의견을 적극 수렴하여 대부분의 정책들을 내년사업에 반영 및 중장기로 검토하여 추진하기로 했고, 해당부서와의 충분한 사전검토와 피드백을 통해 실질적으로 청년들에게 필요한 정책사업을 발굴하고자 한 노력의 결실이라고 했다.

지우현 교육청소년과장은 ”이번 위원회는 처음으로 청년들이 정책을 제안하여 청년들에게 실질적으로 필요한 정책사업을 발굴함으로써 창의적이고 실효성 있는 정책 수립이 가능하다는 데 큰 의의가 있다며 앞으로 청년들을 위한 참신한 정책이 많이 발굴되었으면 한다. ”고 말했다.
