[서종협 기자 = 태백시] 태백시(시장 이상호)는 강원랜드 사회공헌재단(이사장 심규호)과 함께 ‘기후변화대응지도사 일자리 창출사업’을 단계별로 추진하며 모든 사업 과정을 성공적으로 마쳤다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 기후변화대응지도사 민간자격취득, 6개월 간의 일자리 인큐베이팅 과정, 환경교육사 3급 국가자격 취득 및 환경부 인가 사회적협동조합 설립 등을 통해 총 13명의 신규 일자리 창출과 7명의 창업 기회의 성과를 이루어냈다. 

사업 참여자는 “아이를 키우며 오랜 시간 경력이 단절된 채로 생활하였는데, 1년 동안 환경전문교육 및 실습, 일자리 프로그램을 통해 경제활동에 참여할 수 있는 기회를 갖게 되어 너무 기쁘다”며 “새로운 기회를 통해 알게 된 환경 전문지식을 잘 활용하고 발전시켜 태백의 생태전문 환경교육 협동조합을 만들어 나가겠다”고 말했다.
