[김일웅 기자= 경기북부] 의정부시는 지난 4일 공공기관과 교육기관의 통합체제 구축으로 평생교육 도시 의정부의 발전 방향 추진을 위한 교육 거버넌스 추진협의회 구축 사전회의를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 회의에는 교육 분야 전문가와 관내 대학의 처장급인사 및 경기도교육청, 의정부교육지원청 과장, 장학사 등이 참석해 변화하는 교육환경에 적응하기 위한  새로운 형태의 협업체계 구축을 위한 협의 시간을 가졌다고 했다.

향후 구성하게 될 협의회 주요기능은 ▲시와 대학 간 유기적 협력체계 구축, ▲캠퍼스의 지역화, 지역의 캠퍼스화, ▲대학 참여 문화·복지 서비스 증진 방안, ▲지역사회에 기여 할 수 있는 세부사업 발굴, ▲대학과 초·중·고등학교를 연계한 사업 추진 등의 차원 높은 교육 거버넌스 협력체제 운영을 하게 될 것이라고 말했다.

특히 현재 사회수요 맞춤형 대학교육, 평생교육 대중화 등 교육에 대한 시민의 요구와 관심이 높아지고 있어, 교육거버넌스 구축체제는 대학이 변화에 대응할 수 있는 중요한 기회가 될 것이라고 했다.
 

황범순 의정부시 부시장은 “공공기관, 대학, 초중고 교육 교육기관의 촘촘한 협업을 통해 의정부시의 교육환경이 한층 발전 될 수 있는 시너지 효과가 나타날 것”이라며 “이로 인해 교육수요에 맞는 교육에 대한 투자가 가능하게 될 것이라고 말하며, 각 분야의 관계자들에게 지원과 협조를 부탁한다”고 말했다.

The main functions of the council to be formed in the future are ▲ building an organic cooperation system between cities and universities, ▲ localization of campuses, localization of campuses, ▲ plans to promote cultural and welfare services participating in universities, ▲ discovering detailed projects that can contribute to the local community, ▲ He said it will operate a high-level educational governance cooperation system, such as promoting projects linking universities and elementary, middle, and high schools.

In particular, as the demand and interest of citizens for education such as university education tailored to social demand and popularization of lifelong education are increasing, the establishment of an educational governance system will be an important opportunity for universities to respond to changes.
 

Hwang Beom-soon, deputy mayor of Uijeongbu City, said, “Through close collaboration between public institutions, universities, and elementary, middle, and high school education and education institutions, there will be a synergy effect that can further develop the education environment in Uijeongbu.
