[김준호 기자 = 삼척시] 삼척시립박물관에서는 민선 8기 출범기념으로 박물관이 그동안 수집하여 소장하고 있는 옹기 중에서 대표적인 옹기 55점을 선별하여 전시한다. 

특히, 깨어진 옹기를 버리지 않고 수리하여 사용한 옹기와 구울 때 가마 안의 고온으로 인하여 몸체가 일그러진 일명 “쭈그리 옹기”는 우리 조상들의 소박한 심성을 보여주는 옹기라 할 수 있다. 

특별전에서는 문방사우 중 하나인 연적, 떡을 눌러 무늬를 넣을 때 사용하는 떡살, 술을 담던 주병, 양념 단지, 떡 시루, 곡식이나 김치 그리고 막걸리를 담아 저장하던 다양한 형태의 옹기가 전시될 예정이다.

특별전은 오는 10월 1일(토)부터 2023년 2월 28일(화)까지 5개월간 삼척시립박물관 1층 기획전시실과 복도에서 휴관일인 월요일을 제외하고 9시부터 18시까지 전시되며, 무료로 관람할 수 있다.
