이번 체납액 일제정리기간에는 이월체납액 정리와 현년도 체납액 발생 최소화를 중점 추진해 나가기로 했으며 체납자 부동산 압류, 공매실익이 있는 압류재산에 대한 공매처분, 차량 번호판 영치, 관허사업 제한, 제2금융권(새마을금고, 단위농협, 수협 등) 예금압류 등 강력한 체납징수활동을 추진할 예정이고 최근 코로나19 장기화로 지역경제 여건이 어려운 상황이지만 체납유형별 맞춤형 징수활동을 추진하여 영세기업, 소상공인, 생계형 체납자에 대하여는 분할 납부, 체납처분 및 징수유예 등 납세자를 위한 세정정책을 탄력적으로 운영할 예정이라고 전했다.

속초시 관계자는 “지방세와 세외수입금은 속초 시민을 위하여 다양한 정책 추진의 소중한 재원으로 쓰이므로 이번 일제정리기간 운영으로 지방재정의 확보는 물론 조세정의를 실현하고자 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 말했다.
