[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 3일, 동두천시는 영세사업자 등을 위해 국세 및 지방세 세무상담 서비스를 제공하는 ‘마을세무사 제도’를 운영 중이라고 밝혔다. 

마을세무사 제도는 세무사들의 재능기부를 통하여, 경제적 이유 등으로 세무 상담을 받기 어려운 주민에게 지방세와 국세 관련 세무 상담을 무료로 제공하는 제도이며, 마을세무사 상담 건수는 지난해 말 기준 120건으로, 전화상담이 100%이며 그 중 지방세(취득세)는 5건이고 나머지는 양도소득세와 종합부동산세인 국세 세무 상담이었다고 했다.

동두천시에서 위촉한 마을세무사는 2명 '임유민세무사, 김은정세무사'로, 지난 2016년부터 현재까지 세무상담을 받기 어려운 영세사업자 및 취약계층 주민들을 위해 활발히 활동하고 있다고 전했다.

마을세무사의 상담을 원하는 주민은 행정안전부·자치단체·세무사회 누리집, 시 홈페이지에 비치된 홍보자료 등을 통해 마을세무사 연락처를 확인하고, 전화·팩스·전자우편 등을 통해 상담받을 수 있다고 했다.

한옥석 동두천시 세무과장은 “앞으로도 취약계층이 보다 쉽게 세무상담 서비스를 받을 수 있도록 지속적으로 제도를 개선해 나가고, 동두천시 납세자보호관과 합동으로 세무상담 뿐만 아니라 지방세 관련 고충민원도 함께 상담할 수 있도록 할 계획이다”라고 밝혔다.
