[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시가 요양시설 확진자의 중증화 및 사망 예방을 위해 ‘찾아가는 대면 진료’ 서비스를 제공한다고 밝혔다.

최근 코로나19 PCR검사를 제한하면서 확진자는 감소하는 추세를 보이지만, 고위험군이 입소하여 생활하는 요양시설의 확진자는 증가하고 있으며, 요양시설은 의료진 없이 소수의 종사자가 다수의 환자를 돌보고 있는 감염취약시설로 확진자 발생 시 중증도 및 사망의 위험이 크다고 전했다.

이에 속초시는 ‘찾아가는 대면 진료’ 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 의료 기동전담반을 구성하고자 노력했고 그 기능을 속초보광병원이 전담하기로 하고 행정절차와 기동전담반 구성을 완료했으며, 속초시 입소 요양시설은 총 13개소로 약 600명의 어르신과 종사자가 함께 지내고 있으나 코로나19에 감염되면 코호트격리를 하거나 간병인 없이는 감염병전담의료기관의 입원이 어려워 의료진의 대면 진료가 절실했다고 했다.
