[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 고성군은 18세 이상 면역저하자 및 요양시설을 대상으로 4차 백신 접종을 시작한다고 밝혔다.

4차 예방접종은 mRNA(화이자 또는 모더나)백신을 이용해 실시하게 되며 18세 이상 면역저하자와 요양시설 입소자 및 종사자 중 3차접종 완료 4개월(120일) 경과자를 대상으로 접종을 시행하고, 면역저하자는 3차접종 시 면역저하자 대상군으로 접종하지 않았더라도 의사소견서를 지참하면 4차접종을 할 수 있다고 했다.

접종을 원하는 대상자는 카카오톡·네이버에서 잔여백신을 확인하거나 의료기관 유선 확인 후 당일 접종할 수 있고 질병관리청 누리집을 통해 사전 예약하면 접종할 수 있다고 전했다.

황현숙 보건소장은 “오미크론 변이의 확산으로 확진자가 급증하고 있고 사망위험이 높은 고위험군의 위중증화와 사망률을 낮추기 위해 4차접종을 신속하게 실시할 필요가 있다”며 “고위험군에 대한 4차접종뿐만 아니라 아직 3차접종을 완료하지 않은 분들도 접종에 적극 동참해 주실 것을 당부드린다”고 말했다.
