[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 4월 5일, 가평군 환경기초시설 위탁사인 ㈜파이닉스알엔디 와 가평군 하수도사업소는 식목일을 맞이하여 가평공공하수처리시설 주변 산책로에 꽃 심기 행사를 개최하였다고 밝혔다.

이날 꽃심기 행사에는 가평군 하수도사업소 공무원 및 ㈜파이닉스알엔디 직원등 약 40여명이 참석하여 준비해둔 무스카리, 팬지(비올라)등 약 2,000본의 꽃을 가평공공하수처리시설 진입로 및 산책로 500m 구간에 식재하였다고 전했다. 

이날 산책로를 이용중이던 가평군 주민들은 “코로나로 우울해진 기분이 꽃들을 보니 치유되는 기분이다.", "아름다운 꽃을 심어주어서 너무 감사하다” 며 꽃 식재를 응원해 주셨다고 했다.

하수도사업소 김대식소장은 “모두가 코로나로 힘든 시기에 아름다운 꽃을 보며 조금이라도 위로와 위안이 되기를 바란다.” 고 가평주민들에게 작은 위로의 말을 건넸다고 전했다.
