[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부] 가평군 하수도사업소는 매년 안전사고를 대비해 밀폐공간을 재현한 현장훈련을 실무자를 대상으로 보유 장비의 수선에서부터 장비사용 방법, 단계별 밀폐공간 작업 매뉴얼과 사고 발생 시의 안전조치까지 현장에서 교육 및 훈련을 실시했다고 밝혔다. 

이에 가평군 하수도사업소는 매년 상·하반기로 나누어 현장 실습 교육을 진행하고 있었으나 금번 교육은 코로나 방역수칙으로 인해 인원을 제한하였으며 발열체크, 마스크 착용, 거리두기 등을 준수하며 교육이 이루어졌다.환경기초시설에서는 이런 교육효과에 힘입어 밀폐공간 질식사고는 무사고 실적을 지속적으로 유지하고 있다고 했다.  

이날 훈련에는 공공하수도 관리대행업체인 ㈜파이닉스알엔디 직원 및 하수도사업소 직원 등 약 30여명이 참가하였으며 하수도사업소 관계자는 “앞으로 현장 작업 시 안전점검을 철저히 해 생명과 재산 피해를 줄이는데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
