한편, 기념식수 행사는 참여자들에 대한 흥선동 자치민원과장의 감사인사와 함께 나무 심는 방법 안내, 나무심기, 개인별 표찰 제공 및 설치, 기념사진 촬영 순으로 진행되었으며 참여자들은 보람차고 행복한 표정으로 식수 행사에 임했다고 했다.
