[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 고성군이 관내 취약계층인 장애인의 대상으로 찾아가는 전동휠체어 무상수리 서비스를 추진하였다고 밝혔다.

찾아가는 휠체어 무상수리 서비스는 중앙보훈병원 보장구센터와 고성군 간에 업무협약을 통하여 고성군에 거주 중인 장애인 등 사회적 약자에게 휠체어 무상수리 및 기부를 하는 서비스로 지난 2022년 1월 26일~27일(2일), 고성군 어울림 복지관과 가정방문으로 전동휠체어 이용자에 대해 수리(교체)를 실시하였다고 전했다. 

이번에 수리 대상자는 12명으로 수동휠체어 및 전동스쿠터를 수리하였으며, 중앙보훈병원 보장구센터에서는 생활이 어려운 대상자를 위해 전동휠체어 1대를 기부하였고, 고성군은 보훈병원 보장구센터와 취약계층 및 장애인의 이동권 보장을 증진시키며 복지서비스 사각지대에 놓여있는 장애인의 삶의 질의 지속적으로 개선할 예정이라고 했다.
