[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 8일, 홍천읍 행정복지센터는 홍천군 자원봉사센터 등과 함께 저장강박증을 앓고 있는 가구에 대한 환경개선 활동을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 봉사는 홍천읍 행정복지센터 찾아가는 보건복지 부서가 최근 사회적문제로 떠오른 저장강박증 가구를 발굴하고 홍천군 자원봉사센터와의 연계, 자율방범대에서 발 벗고 참여하면서 진행됐다고 했다.

봉사에는 자율방범연합대, 연봉자율방범대, 여성자율방범대 등 대원 17명과 조병길 자원봉사센터 사무국장, 한인용 홍천읍장과 직원들이 참여했다고 전했다.

해당 가구는 집 안팎으로 폐지와 각종 생활쓰레기로 뒤덮여 발 디딜 틈조차 없었으며, 100리터 종량제 봉투 40개와 마대 20개 분량의 쓰레기 및 폐기물이 나왔다고 했다.

백용길 연합대장은 “홍천군 자율방범연합대 대장으로 취임해 새해부터 대원들과 함께 봉사로 시작해 뜻깊은 한해가 될 것 같다”며 “대원들이 한마음으로 땀을 흘리며 봉사하는 모습이 너무도 자랑스러웠고, 앞으로도 지역의 소외된 계층을 위한 일이라면 적극적으로 참여하겠다”고 말했다.

한인용 홍천읍장은 “사회복지 대상자가 급하게 어려움을 호소할 때 지역사회 단체들과 관이 화합해 봉사하는 모습이 아름다웠다”며 “앞으로도 민관이 협력해 펼치는 봉사활동을 꾸준히 전개하겠다. 주말임에도 불구하고 봉사활동에 참여해 주신 자율방범대와 읍 행정복지센터 직원들에게 감사하다”고 말했다.
