[김준호 기자 = 영월군]영월군 자율방범연합대(대장 최상미)가 10월 18일 19시, 영월군청 광장에서 민·관·경·자율방범대 특별합동 순찰 실시에 따른 발대식을 가졌다.

이날 행사에는 최명서 영월군수, 심재섭 영월군의회 의장, 홍원표 영월경찰서장을 비롯한 영월군자율방범연합대원, 청소년자율방범봉사대원 총 60여명이 참석하였다.

이번 합동순찰은 수확기 농·축산물 도난 예방 및 지역공동체 치안 활성화를 위해 10월 18일부터 11월 30일까지 44일간 진행되며 중부지역을 시작으로 동부지역, 서부지역까지 도보순찰 및 차량순찰이 함께 진행될 예정이다.

최명서 영월군수는 “영월군 지역 치안의 한 축을 책임진다는 자세로 임하는 자율방범대원들을 보면 항상 감사할 따름”이라며 “지속적인 공동체 치안으로 안전한 영월 만들기에 함께 노력하자”고 당부했다.
