[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 28일부터 4월 8일까지 (재)포천시교육재단은 ‘2022년도 향토인재 특별장학생 및 대학교 장학생’을 모집한다고 밝혔다. 

포천 명문고등학교 육성을 위한 향토인재 특별장학생에는 관내 고등학교에 진학한 학생 중 우수한 성적으로 관내 중학교를 졸업한 학생 50명을 선발하여 1백만 원의 장학금을 지급한다고 했다. 

대학교 장학생은 올해부터 사이버대, 방통대 재학생까지 확대 선발하여 총 70명에게 1인당 최대 40만 원에서 250만 원의 장학금이 지급된다고 전했다.

박윤국 이사장은 “다양한 장학사업을 통해 더 많은 학생들이 꿈을 펼칠 수 있는 기회가 되기를 바란다.”면서 “앞으로도 교육 취약계층 발굴 및 수혜대상 확대 등 시대변화에 발맞추어 다양한 장학사업을 발굴·추진하도록 하겠다.”라고 말했다.
