[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 10일 오후 조종고등학교에서는 어려운 이웃에 전달해달라며 학부모회, 교사, 학생 등 40여명이 정성스럽게 담근 김장김치 7kg 25박스를 상면행정복지센터에 기탁하였다고 밝혔다.

기탁된 김장김치는 조종고등학교 학생으로 구성된 4H동아리인 ‘마을로 가는 JJ농원’이 학교 앞 텃밭을 빌려 유기농으로 재배한 배추 등 농산물을 가지고 지난 11월 9일부터 2일간 학부모회, 교사, 학생 등이 힘을 합쳐 담근 김치이며, 해마다 어려운 이웃을 위해 기탁하는 등 나눔을 지속적으로 이어오고 있다고 했다.

김장김치 나눔에 참여한 한 학부모 및 학생은 “한 해 동안 땀 흘리며 직접 키워서 어려운 이웃들께 전달하게 되어 1년간의 수고가 헛되지 않았음에 뿌듯하다“며 소감을 말했다.

학생들을 지도하고 있는 정광호교장과 계하빈 교사 등 관계자들은 “텃밭에서 수확한 농산물을 안으로는 학생들의 급식재료로 사용하여 친구들과 함께 나누고, 밖으로는 어려운 이웃을 위한 성품으로 전달하고 있다.”며, “이를 통해 학생들이 나누는 기쁨을 배우면서 성장하게 되어 산교육이 된 것 같아 기쁘다”고 입을 모았다.
