[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 4월 23일, 30일 양일 간, 봄철 산행인구 증가로 인한 버섯·산나물 및 산약초의 불법 채취를 근절하고자 캠페인을 실시하였다.

가평군은 홍보전단지 배부 및 산불헬기 계도방송 등을 통하여 산주의 동의 없는 산나물 및 약용식물의 굴·채취행위가 범죄 행위이며 5년 이하의 징역 또는 5,000만원 이하의 벌금에 처해진다는 사실을 홍보하였다고 했다.

군은 이번 캠페인을 통하여 과거부터 관습적으로 산림 소유자의 동의 없이 버섯, 산나물, 두릅 등을 채취하는 행위가 범죄 행위라는 사실에 대해 등산객 및 주민들의 인식이 개선되기를 기대하고 있다고 전했다.

이날, 캠페인에서는 산림과 주관으로 관내 주요 역사 및 등산로 등 12개소에서 캠페인을 시행하였고, 군청 산림과 직원 및 6개 읍·면 산림보호감시원 등 약100여명이 캠페인에 참여하여 등산객 등 방문객 4,000여명을 대상으로 홍보활동을 실시하였다고 했다.

산림과 관계자는 “본격적인 등산철을 맞아 우리군을 방문하는 일부 등산객에 의한 임산물 불법 채취 행위를 근절하고자 지속적으로 홍보 활동을 이어 가겠다.”고 말했다.

한편, 가평군은 5월 주말에도 주요 역사 및 등산로 등 7개소에서 임산물 불법채취 근절을 위한 캠페인 등 홍보활동을 지속적으로 실시 할 예정이라고 밝혔다.
