[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 의정부시 호원2동 행정복지센터는 의정부 소방서와의 협력으로 호원권역 기초생활수급자, 차상위계층 등 200가구에 ‘찾아가는 소화기 보급 사업’을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

호원권역 보건복지팀에서 대상 가구에 찾아가는 소화기 및 화재 경보기 보급을 진행하며, 차수별 100가구씩 총 200가구 지원을 목표로 하고 있고, 1차 대상은 화재 발생 시 상대적으로 더 취약한 일반주택, 다세대 거주 취약가구 대상으로 우선 지원될 예정이라고 말했다.

이번 사업은 취약가구의 안전한 생활을 위한 소화기 보급과 더불어 기수급자 가정의 추가적인 복지 욕구를 파악하고 위기 상황에 대한 선제적 해결을 위해 호원권역 보건복지팀에서 의정부 소방서와 협력하여 추진하게 되었다고 했다.

취약가구에 지원되는 소화기는 가정용 소화기이며 의정부 소방서에서 호원권역 직원 대상으로 소화기 사용법을 교육하여 대상 가구에 소화기 전달 시 유의 사항 등을 함께 안내할 예정이라고 했다. 

이정숙 호원권역동 국장은 “의정부 소방서와의 유기적인 협력으로 호원권역 취약가구에 안전한 생활환경을 조성할 수 있도록 소화기 및 화재 경보기 보급 사업 추진에 적극 나서겠다”며 “소화기 보급과 더불어 기수급자 가정 방문으로 생활실태 및 추가적인 복지 욕구를 파악하여 복지사각지대 가구 위기 상황 해결을 위한 촘촘한 복지서비스 제공에 더욱 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
