[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난달 31일 양주시는 경기섬유종합지원센터에서 ‘2022년 경기 북동부권역 노동안전지킴이 사업’ 발대식을 열고 산업재해 예방을 위한 각오를 다졌다고 밝혔다.

이날 발대식에는 이광태 경기도 중대산업재해팀장을 비롯해 노동안전지킴이 시·군 담당자, 북동부권역 노동안전지킴이 24명 등이 참석했으며 위촉장 수여와 함께 선언문 낭독 시간을 가졌다고 했다.

양주시는 4월부터 관내 산업현장 안전점검을 담당할 노동안전지킴이와 함께 산재 예방을 위한 본격적인 활동을 전개한다고 전했다.

앞서 양주시는 지난 3월 산업안전분야 전문 자격과 실무경력 등을 평가해 6명의 노동안전지킴이를 선발했으며 사전 실무교육을 완료했다고 했다.

노동안전지킴이는 근로자 50인 미만의 제조업체, 소규모 건설현장을 중심으로 개인보호구 착용 여부, 산업안전보건 기준 위반사항, 안전재해 예방조치 위반여부 등을 살펴 개선·보완방향을 지도한다고 했다.

이와 더불어 양주시는 고용노동부, 산업안전보건공단과 상시 협력 체계를 구축하고 필요시 유관기관과 연계해 합동점검 등을 실시할 계획이라고 전했다.

양주시 관계자는 “산업현장은 안전이 최고의 경쟁력”이라며 “앞으로도 산업현장의 노동자들이 안전하게 근무할 수 있는 노동환경과 안전문화가 정착될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
