[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군은 지난 27일 행정안전부가 주최하고 지방재정공제회가 주관한 공유재산 대상 공모에서 우수상을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

이번 공모는 전국 243개 자치단체를 대상으로 실시한 공유재산 관리 및 활용 우수사례에 대해 전문가 심사 및 전국 공유재산 담당 공무원 투표를 통해 결정됐다. 

가평군은 ‘전통시장 상권 침체 극복을 위한 가평잣고을시장 창업경제타운 조성’을 주제로 응모해 바람직한 공유재산 관리 및 활용을 제고하고 우수성과를 창출했다는 평가를 받았다.

가평잣고을시장 창업경제타운에는 특산품, 토속음식점, 공방, 준대규모점포 등 다양한 업체가 입점했으며, 2021년 12월 개점이후 6개월간 유동인구가 40% 증가하는 등 전통시장 활성화를 적극 견인하고 있다.

가평군 관계자는 “전통시장 활성화와 공유재산 활용을 연계하여 추진한 것에 대해 좋은 평가를 받은 것 같다”며 “앞으로도 창업경제타운이 시장 활성화에 지속 기여할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
