[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 23일 북면지역사회보장협의체에서는 다가오는 성탄절을 맞아 관내 아동 10명에게 과자선물세트, 문화상품권, 닭강정을 전달하며 즐겁고 기쁜 성탄절을 보낼 수 있도록 ‘행복한 북면 메리크리스마스!’를 진행했다고 밝혔다.    

이날 행사에는 관내 아동들에게 크리스마스의 기쁨을 함께 나누고픈 북면 지사협 위원 10여명이 1일 싼타가 되어 후원품을 전달하며 아이들은 선물에 위원들은 아이들이 주는 미소에 서로가 행복한 시간을 보냈다고 했다.

김관중 민간위원장은 “초고령 사회인 북면에 노인위주의 복지사업이 편중되어 있어 크리스마스를 맞아 관내 아동들을 위한 사업을 기획하게 되었으며 더 많은 아동들이 대상이 될 수 있도록 사업을 늘려 가겠다고” 말했다 

이해곤 북면장은 “크리스마스를 맞아 뜻깊은 행사를 준비한 북면 지사협에 감사의 뜻을 전하였고, 면민 모두가 주변 이웃들에게 작은 관심 가지는 따뜻한 연말연시를 보내자고” 말했다.
