[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 27일 포천시 청소년수련시설 ‘포천시청소년교육문화센터 및 포천청소년문화의집’은 관내 청소년자치기구 참가자들을 대상으로 온라인 연합교류활동을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 온라인 연합교류활동은 메타버스 운영 플랫폼 ‘이프랜드’와 온라인 플랫폼 ‘ZOOM’을 활용해 새로운 방식으로 진행됐으며, 포천시 청소년을 대표하는 총 8개의 청소년자치기구가 참여했고, 메타버스는 가상·초월을 의미하는 메타와 현실세계를 의미하는 유니버스의 합성어로, 가상 증강현실 AR에서 나만의 아바타로 공간제약 없이 자유롭게 참여할 수 있다고 했다.

온라인 연합교류활동 1부에서는 이프랜드를 활용한 OX 퀴즈, 청소년자치기구 소개 및 활동보고회, 2022년 포천시 청소년수련시설 방향성 및 추진사업 설명, 기관장 간담회 등을 진행했으며, 2부에서는 ZOOM을 활용한 팀빌딩 프로그램 등 유쾌하고 즐거운 화합의 시간을 가졌다고 했다.

이번 활동에 참가한 한 청소년은 “4차 산업혁명에 대비한 메타버스를 통해 참가자들과 안전하게 교류하고 화합할 수 있어 신기하고 재미있었다.”라고 소감을 전했다.

포천시 청소년수련시설 관계자는 “위드코로나시대를 맞아 청소년들이 안전하고 욕구를 해소할 수 있는 메타버스를 활용한 다양한 프로그램을 제공할 예정이다.”라고 밝혔다.
