[김택곤 기자=영월군] 영월군은 2022년 4월부터 2023년 12월까지 약 2년간 사업비 22억원을 들여 영월군 전역에 대한 디지털트윈 공간정보(3차원) 시스템 구축 사업을 추진하고 있다.

2년 차에 접어든 본 사업은 항공측량을 통하여 영월군 전역에 대한 항공영상을 포함한 각종 공간정보의 제작과 이를 활용할 수 있는 행정시스템 및 민원 안내 시스템을 구축하여 고품질의 3차원 공간정보를 제공하고자 한다.

디지털트윈은 한국판 뉴딜 2.0 사업중 핵심사업으로 평가 받고 있으며 미국,영국,싱가포르 등 세계 각지에서도 활발하게 추진중인 사업이다. 3D 모델링을 통하여 똑같은 쌍둥이 공간을 디지털로 구현해 시뮬레이션을 통해 각종 재해 취약지역, 교통정체구간, 대기질, 일조권 등 다양한 분야의 정책결정에 큰 지원이 가능해 질것으로 보고 있다. 

또한 2023년 2월 9일 영월군청 상황실에서 디지털트윈 공간정보 시스템 구축을 위한 업무 보고회를 개최하여 1차연도 항공사진 촬영분에 대한 품질 검토 및 2023년 12월 최종 구축될 시스템에 대한 검토를 진행할 예정이다.
