[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 포천시청소년교육문화센터는 청소년의 잠재력을 개발하고 삶의 기술을 함양할 수 있는 기회를 제공하기 위하여 ‘2022년 국제청소년성취포상제’ 참가 청소년을 모집한다고 밝혔다.

국제청소년성취포상제는 1956년 영국 에딘버러 공작에 의해 설립되어 만 14세~24세의 청소년들이 신체활동, 탐험활동 등을 통하여 청소년 스스로의 잠재력을 발굴하고 삶의 기술을 익히는 국제적 자기성장 프로그램이라고 했다. 

이번 포상제 참가 청소년들은 봉사활동, 자기개발활동, 신체단련활동, 탐험활동 등 총 4개 분야의 세부 활동을 3~6개월 동안 진행하며, 포천시청소년교육문화센터는 세부활동에 대한 지원으로 탐험활동 부분(한탄강지질공원 탐사, 숙영지 조성 및 취사활동)과 맞춤형 컨설팅 프로그램을 제공한다고 했다.

국제청소년성취포상제는 참가한 청소년들이 자신에게 필요한 활동이 무엇인지 스스로 점검하고 활동에 대한 목표 수립 후 지속적인 활동을 통해 스스로 성장할 수 있도록 도움을 준다고 했다. 

또한, 청소년들의 올바른 성장 및 교과학습 외적인 다양한 활동을 제공함으로써 학습에 대한 압박감을 내려놓고 미래환경 적응에 필요한 다양한 역량들을 개발할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다고 했다.

모집대상은 포천시 관내 거주하는 만 9세~24세 청소년 총 5명이며, 모집기간은 지난 3월 7일부터 모집 충족 시까지라고 전했다. 

신청자는 포천시청소년교육문화센터 및 청소년문화의집 홈페이지에서 양식을 내려받아 작성 후 이메일 또는 포천시청소년교육문화센터, 포천청소년문화의집에 방문 접수하면 되고, 자세한 내용은 포천시청소년교육문화센터 및 포천청소년문화의집 홈페이지 또는 프로그램 담당자에 문의하면 된다고 전했다.
