[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 24일 포천시에서 운영하는 포천청소년문화의집 청소년방과후아카데미 ‘꿈터’가 경기도와 (재)대건청소년회가 주최한 ‘2021년 경기 북부권역 청소년 E-스포츠 대회’에서 2등을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

청소년방과후아카데미 꿈터는 이번대회에서 카트라이더 러시플러스 혼합팀 부문에 1개 팀이 참가하여 2등을 수상하는 명예를 안았고, 모든 경기는 토너먼트 방식으로 진행되었으며, 결승전은 경기도청소년활동진흥센터 유튜브로 실시간 중계됐다고 했다.

이번 대회에 참가한 한 청소년은 “E-스포츠 분야에 다양한 직업이 있다는 것을 알게 되었고, 대회 준비를 하면서 팀원과 소통이 중요하다는 것을 배웠다.”라고 소감을 밝혔다.

방과후아카데미 관계자는 “새롭고 다양한 청소년 활동 콘텐츠를 통해 다양한 산업에 대한 이해를 높이고 진로를 개발할 수 있도록 지원하겠다.”라고 전했다.

한편, 청소년방과후아카데미는 방과 후 돌봄이 필요한 청소년의 역량을 개발하고 건강한 성장을 지원하는 국가정책지원 사업으로, 포천시청소년교육문화센터와 포천청소년문화의집에서는 중학교 1~3학년을 대상으로 5개 반을 운영하고 있으며, 오는 11월 1일부터는 예비 중학생을 대상으로 2022년도 신입생을 모집할 예정이라고 밝혔다.
