[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 양주시가 시청 소속 공무원 4명이 잇따라 코로나19 양성 판정을 받게 됨에 따라 추가확산 방지를 위해 모든 행정력을 집중시키고 있다고 밝혔다.

양주시에 따르면 지난 15일 양주시청 소속 직원 1명이 확진 판정을 받았으며, 시는 즉각 해당 부서 직원에 대한 진단검사를 이틀에 걸쳐 실시한 결과 각각 16일 1명, 17일 2명 같은 과 직원 총 3명이 추가로 확진됐다고 했다.

이에 따라 양주시는 해당부서 전체 직원을 자가격리 조치하고 청사 내 방역작업에 돌입했다고 전했다.

확진자가 발생한 시청 4층 홍보정책담당관실과 시의회 옆 사무실을 임시 폐쇄하고 확진돤 직원과 접촉가능성이 높은 4층 직원을 대상으로 지난 17일 코로나19 선제검사를 실시했다고 했다.

코로나19 검사 결과 전원 음성 판정을 받았으며 추가 감염을 예방하기 위해 청사 전체 방역소독을 실시할 예정이고, 특히 확진자가 발생한 부서에 대해선 필수요원에 한해 재택근무를 진행하며 자가격리로 인한 업무 공백을 최소화할 방침이라고 했다.

이성호 양주시장은 "청내 확진자 발생으로 인한 행정 공백이 발생하지 않도록  총력을 기울이겠다"며 “8월 11일부터 13일까지 시청 홍보정책담당관실, 기자실 등을 방문한 시민들께서는 증상여부와 관계없이 선별검사를 받아달라”고 당부했다.
