[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 21일 경기도의회 교육기획위원장 정윤경 의원은 지역 교육발전에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 군포의왕교육지원청으로부터 감사패를 받았다고 밝혔다.

정 위원장은 경기도의회 교육기획위원장으로 재임하면서 ‘행복한 동행으로 미래를 여는 군포의왕교육’구현을 위하여 노력해 왔으며, 특히 학교시설 환경개선과 안전한 교육여건 조성에 크게 기여했다고 했다.

정 위원장은 군포지역 교육환경 개선을 위한 예산 확보에 힘썼으며,  대응지원비 47억 5천만 원, 소규모 환경비 9억 9천만 원, 수시 소규모환경 사업의 일부로 군포중 자율동아리실 방음 및 환경개선에 1천8백만 원을 지원을 위해 노력했다고 했다.

또한 당동중 체육관 약 34억6천5백만 원, 오금초 체육관 30억7천9백만 원, 군포화산초 28억5천1백만 원, 수리초 27억4백만 원을 확보해 군포·의왕지역의 학교 체육관 건립에 약 121억 원을 확보하는데 적극적 역할을 해왔다고 했다. 

특히, 지난해 10월 추진한 ‘정윤경 위원장과 함께하는 코로나19 교육현장 정담회’ 등 학교 현장의 목소리를 직접 청취하며 금정초 체육관 스프링클러 설치 1억5천만 원, 정기승압 공사 1억6천만 원 추가 확보 등 지역 교육 관련 현안사업 해결에 앞장섰다고 밝혔다.

정 위원장은 “미래의 꿈과 희망인 학생들이 안전하고 쾌적한 교육환경에서 수업을 받을 수 있도록 군포교육 발전뿐만 아니라 교육기획위원장으로서 경기교육 발전을 위해 더욱 노력하겠다”고 소감을 전했다.
