[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 14일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 군포의왕교육지원청에서 코로나19 확산방지 대책 마련을 위한 긴급회의를 가졌다고 밝혔다.

군포시 소재 어학원발 코로나19 확진자 증가로 5월13일부터 5월14일까지 군포시 전체 학교가 원격수업으로 전환한 가운데 관계 기관들과의 대책 마련을 강구하기 위해서라고 했다. 

이 자리에서는 경기도의회 교육기획위원장 정윤경 의원과 지명숙 군포의왕교육장을 비롯하여 도교육청 학생건강과장, 평생교육복지과장, 군포지역 학교장 대표, 학원연합회 관계자 등이 참석한 가운데 최근 군포시의 코로나19 확산에 대한 진단과 함께 추가감염 방지 대책마련을 위한 심도있는 논의를 진행했다고 전했다.

정윤경 위원장은 최근 코로나19 상황이 장기간 지속되면서 감염위험성에 대한 사회적 인식이 점차 무뎌져가는 것에 대한 우려를 나타내며, “모두가 긴장감을 늦추어서는 안된다”며 ‘교육청이 학원의 지도점검 뿐 아니라 코로나19 상황을 함께 헤쳐 나갈 수 있도록 적극적 지원과 관심을 보여줄 것’과 학원내 방역이 소홀하다는 학부모들의 목소리가 있는 것에 대해 ‘방역사각지대 최소화를 위해 학원장 및 협회차원에서 구성원들에 대한 적극적인 홍보와 협조’를 요청했다.

김일희 경기도학원연합회장은 “현재 학원방역자율지원단을 조직하여 방역에 힘쓰고 있고, 학원관계자들과의 회의내용 공유를 통해 학원내 방역활동에 더욱 힘쓰도록 하겠다”고 말했다.

지명숙 교육장은 학교에 대한 방역상황 설명과 함께 “여전히 많은 학원이 대면 활동을 계속하고 있다”며 “학원발 감염이 지속되고 있는 상황에서 교육청이 권고한 비대면 온라인 원격 수업에 학원이 적극적으로 동참하길 바란다” 고 말했다.

이에 조포연 군포시학원연합회장은 연합회에 “가입한 학원은 대부분 원격수업으로 전환하였으나, 가입하지 않은 곳은 연합회에서도 조치의 어려움이 있다”고 언급했다.
