[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 포천시는 경기도 공공기관 유치를 위해 시민과 함께 다양한 홍보활동을 펼쳐 눈길을 끌고 있다고 밝혔다.

지난 2월 발표된 제3차 경기도 공공기관 이전 계획에 따라 포천시는 경기도경제과학진흥원, 경기주택도시공사, 경기농수산진흥원 등 3개 공공기관 유치에 모든 역량을 집중했다고 말했다.

공공기관 유치를 염원하는 포천시민들의 열기가 뜨겁고, 각계각층의 시민들은 한마음 한뜻으로 자발적으로 유치 운동을 펼치고 있으며, 마을마다 공공기관 유치 환영 현수막을 내걸고, 단체에서는 환영 결의대회를 진행하는 등 힘을 보태고 있다고 했다.

경기도 공공기관 포천시 유치를 위한 호소문을 발표하고, 성공적인 유치를 위해 온·오프라인 범시민 서명운동을 전개했으며, 20일간 진행된 서명운동에는 총 22만3653명이 하나된 마음으로 동참하였으며, 시는 지난 12일 경기도 공공기관 유치 제안서를 경기도에 전달했으며 1차 심사 결과를 기다리고 있다고 했다.

이외에도 포천시립민속예술단은 직접 기획한 공연을 통해 그동안 각종 규제로 인한 특별한 희생을 감내해온 포천시가 공공기관 유치를 통해 균형발전을 실현하고, 경기북부 미래성장의 거점도시로 성장하길 바란다는 희망의 이야기를 전했다.
