[김현우 기자 = 강릉] 김홍규 강릉시장은 계묘년 새해를 맞이하여 안전조업과 풍어를 기원하고 어업인 등 관계자를 격려하기 위해 3일 주문진 어촌현장을 방문한다고 밝혔다.

먼저 강릉어선안전조업국을 방문하여 주요현안을 청취하고, 어업인 안전을 위해 일선에서 근무 중인 관계자들을 격려할 예정이다. 

또한, 계묘년 새해 조업을 위해 관내 연안에 출어한 전체 어선과 연안 통발 어업인을 대상으로 직접 무선통신시설을 이용하여 해상 조업 어선 안전점검 및 어업인 격려 교신을 실시한다.

김홍규 시장은 무선 교신을 통해“지난 한 해 면세유 가격 폭등과 코로나 등으로 인해 고생 많으셨다”는 위로의 말을 전하면서 “계묘년 새해 풍어와 만선을 기원하고, 어업인을 위해 시에서도 면세유 추가 지원뿐만 아니라 안전조업장비 지원 확대를 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다. 

이어, 주문진항 내 수산물 위판장으로 이동하여 어획물 입찰을 참관하고, 입찰 어업인과 경매사 등 현장 종사자를 격려하고, 강릉시수협장으로부터 어촌현장 애로·고충사항을 청취할 계획이다.
