[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시는 지난 7월 19일 제17대 경기북부상공회의소 최근수 총회장을 비롯한 의정부시, 양주시, 동두천시 상공회 회장 등 경기북부상공회 회장단이 의정부시청을 방문해 김동근 시장과의 간담회를 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이번 방문은 민선 8기 김동근 시장의 취임 및 임기 개시를 축하하기 위한 환담 행사로 진행됐으며, 그간의 협력사업을 되짚어보며 앞으로의 교류협력의 필요성을 공감하는 시간을 가졌다. 경기북부상공회의소는 의정부시의 지원을 받아 맞춤형 교육과 워크숍 개최 등 CEO아카데미 사업을 운영해 왔다.

김동근 의정부시장은 “관내 기업의 생존전략과 지역경제 현안해결 방안을 모색하기 위해 맞춤형 교육을 지속해 온 경기북부상공회의 노고를 잘 알고 있다”며 “앞으로도 격의 없는 소통으로 상공회의소와 교류하며 관내 기업인들의 목소리를 듣는 의정부시가 되도록 노력할테니 적극 참여해 주시기 바란다”고 협력을 당부했다.
