[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 22일 오전 11시 북부지방산림청장은 서울국유림관리소 인천경영팀에서 목재이용명예감시원 위촉식을 개최했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 위촉식에서는 명예감시원 선발 대상자에게 위촉장을 전달하고, 2022년 목재제품 품질단속관련 업무 당부, 품질단속 활동관련 등 의견을 공유하는 자리를 마련했다고 전했다.

명예감시원들은 소비자단체, 비영리법인 회원, 목재등급평가사, 목재제품 유통에 관심이 있는 국민, 자원봉사자 등으로 구성되어 있으며, 북부지방산림청은 7명(서울관리소 4명, 수원관리소 2명, 홍천관리소 1명)이 선발 위촉됐다고 했다. 

목재이용 명예감시원은 목재 규격·품질표시, 품질인증을 받은 제품의 지도와 홍보 계몽 및 위반사항 신고, 목재생산업 등록기준 변경 사항 안내, 목재 품질단속 활동 보조 등의 활동을 수행하게 된다고 했다.

최수천 북부지방산림청장은 “목재이용 명예감시원 운영을 통해 불법·부정한 목재제품 단속 및 목재제품 품질제도 홍보를 강화하여 목재제품의 신뢰도가 높아지고 국민의 안전을 확보되기를 바란다.”라고 밝혔다.
