[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 28일 포천시는 포천시청 시정회의실에서 제3기 민간감사관 위촉식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

위촉식에는 제3기 민간감사관 공모를 통해 선정된 13명의 민간감사관에게 위촉장을 수여했으며, 민간감사관 역할에 대한 설명 및 간담회 순으로 진행됐다고 했다. 

이날 위촉한 민간감사관은 임기 2년 동안 공무원들의 위법·부당한 행정사항, 시민 불편사항 등을 제보하고 개선하는 활동 및 시정발전을 위한 제안 등의 임무를 수행하게 된다고 전했다.

박윤국 포천시장은 “포천시민을 대표해 시정을 감시한다는 사명감으로 청렴하고 정의로운 포천을 위해 적극적인 참여와 협조를 당부드린다.”고 전했다.

한편, 2020년에 위촉된 제2기 민간감사관은 주요 사업장에 대한 부실공사 방지 및 예산 낭비 사전 차단을 위한 현장감사 3회, 시민불편생활 및 불만사항 12건을 제보하는 등 적극적인 감사 활동을 진행한 바 있다고 전했다.
