[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 14일 의정부시의회는 의장실에서 2021 회계연도 결산검사위원에게 위촉장을 수여했다고 전했다.

지난 11일 제312회 임시회 제2차 본회의 의결로 결정된 결산검사 대표위원으로는 김현주 도시건설위원장이 선임됐으며, 재정 및 회계분야에 풍부한 경험과 전문성을 겸비한 전직 공무원, 공인회계사, 세무사 등 민간위원 4명을 포함해 총 5명으로 구성됐다고 했다.

이날 위촉된 결산검사위원은 「지방자치법」제150조 및 「의정부시 결산검사위원 선임 및 운영에 관한 조례」에 따라 다가오는 4월 1일부터 4월 20일까지 총 20일간 의정부시의 2021 회계연도 결산서에 대한 세입․세출, 재무제표, 성과보고서 등을 종합적으로 검사하게 된다고 했다.

오범구 의장은 “예산의 편성 못지않게 시에서 집행한 예산에 대한 결산 또한 매우 중요하다”며 “위원님들께서 예산이 의회에서 승인한 당초 목적에 맞도록 집행됐는지 면밀한 검토를 부탁드린다”고 당부했다.

한편, 시에서는 검사위원의 의견서를 첨부한 결산서를 5월 31일까지 의회에 제출하여야 하며 이후 제1차 정례회에서 상임위원회, 예산결산특별위원회 심사를 거쳐 본회의에서 승인·의결함으로써 결산을 마무리하게 된다고 전했다.
