[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 태백시는 지난 17일, 태백시 고문변호사로 활동하게 된 정경모 변호사에게 위촉장을 수여했다고 밝혔다.

이날 위촉된 정경모 변호사는 시정업무 전반에 걸친 법률 자문 및 적법성 여부를 검토하고, 시를 당사자로 하는 소송사건 대리 업무를 맡는다.

정경모 변호사는 태백 출신으로 부산대학교 법학과를 졸업해 고려대학교 대학원 상법학 박사과정을 수료하였으며, 제29회 사법시험에 합격해 기업‧상사‧민사 관련 다양한 분야의 변호사로 활동 중이다. 

이로써 「태백시 고문변호사 운영 조례」에 따라 위촉된 태백시 고문변호사는 정경모 변호사, 김재성 변호사, 배진수 변호사, 김창섭 변호사로 총 4명이다. 

정경모 변호사는 “고향 태백을 위해 일할 수 있는 기회를 주심에 감사드리며, 태백시 발전을 위해 적극적으로 활동하겠다”라고 말했다.

이상호 태백시장은 “태백 지역 출신의 변호사를 위촉하여 기쁘게 생각하며, 고문변호사로서 지역 발전을 위해 적극적인 역할을 수행해주시기를 당부 드린다”라고 말했다.
