[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 28일 의정부시평생학습원는 장애인 평생교육 관계자 네트워크 협의회를 개최하여 위원 10명에게 위촉장을 수여했다고 밝혔다.

협의회는 장애인 평생학습도시 활성화를 위한 자문 역할을 하며, 인적·물적 자원 연계를 통하여 네트워크를 구축하고 협력해 나갈 계획이라고 했다.

운영위원으로는 의정부교육지원청 특수교육지원센터, 의정부시장애인종합복지관, 의정부시장애인가족지원센터, 의정부시수어통역센터, 의정부시지체장애인협회, 의정부시시각장애인협회, 의정부밀알복지재단, 채움누리학교, 을지대학교, 신한대학교 등 의정부 관내 10개 장애인·평생교육 전문기관 관계자가 참여한다고 했다.

의정부시는 지난 3월 교육부로부터 장애인 평생학습도시로 선정됨에 따라 장애인 평생교육 기반을 구축하고, 장애인의 지역사회 통합을 위한 프로그램을 확대하여 운영하고 있다고 전했다.

송원찬 평생학습원장은 “장애인을 비롯한 교육소외계층을 포용하는 교육복지에 힘쓰고 학습지원체계를 구축하겠다”며 “장애인 평생학습도시의 선진 모델이 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
