이번 사업은 방역 의무화 대상 시설인 식품접객업소와 공중위생업소에 방역물품을 지원해 코로나19 감염 확산을 방지하고 영업제한과 경기침체로 어려움을 겪고 있는 소상공인의 경제적 부담을 경감하고자 추진한다고 했다.

우선 양주시는 시민들이 안심하고 방문할 수 있도록 안심식당 47개소에 덜어먹는 집게, 스텐보관통, 비말가림막 등을 전달 완료했으며, 공중위생업소 13개소에는 손 소독제, 마스크, 살균제, 물티슈 등 4종 세트로 구성된 방역물품과 방역수칙 홍보물, 2022년 보건소 사업안내 달력을 순차적으로 배부할 예정이라고 전했다.

또한 식품접객업소 위생등급지정 활성화를 위해 식중독예방 등 먹을거리 안전 확보에 힘쓰고 있는 위생등급제 지정 업소에 자동센서 스탠드 손소독 체온계를 지원, 코로나19 감염 확산 차단에 선제적으로 대응할 방침이며, 이외에도 시민들을 대상으로 출입명부작성, 마스크 착용, 코로나 예방접종증명서 등 기본방역 수칙을 준수할 수 있도록 지속적인지도·점검을 실시하고 종사자 교육을 통해 안전한 방역과 청결한 위생관리에 힘쓸 계획이라고 했다.
