이번에 실시한 안전 컨설팅은 화재 발생 시 대형피해가 예상되는 화약류(질산염류) 저장시설에 대한 위험요인을 파악하여 사전에 제거하고, 면담을 통해 자율적인 소방안전 관리의 중요성 및 소방서와 지속적인 합동 훈련을 통해 신속한 재난대응이 이뤄질 수 있도록 상호 협력을 약속했다고 했다. 

특히 위험물 화재의 특성상 자체 직원들로 구성된 자위소방대의 임무와 역할의 중요성을 강조하고, 1년 전 레바논 베이루트에서 발생한 질산염류 원인의 폭발 사례를 소개하며 각종 안전 관리 정보를 공유했다고 전했다.

구본현 가평소방서장은 “이번 안전 컨설팅을 통해 화재예방에 다시 한번 신경 써 줄 것을 당부드린다.”라고 말했다.
