[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 7월 2일 의정부시 송산3동 행정복지센터는 의정부중앙로타리클럽이 취약계층을 위한 사랑의 쌀 나눔 봉사를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

의정부중앙로타리클럽은 의정부 전역에서 활동하며 어려운 이웃을 위한 주거환경 개선사업, 연탄배달, 후원물품 나눔 등 다양한 사회공헌활동을 실천하는 모범적인 단체로 알려져 있으며, 특히 이번 기탁은 손영호 회장의 취임과 관련하여 화환 대신 쌀을 받아 이웃돕기에 참여한 것으로, 송산3동의 홀몸 어르신, 한부모가정 등 취약계층을 위해 후원하여 그 의미가 더욱 특별하다고 했다.

손영호 의정부중앙로타리클럽 회장은 “새로 취임을 하면서 취약계층에 조금이나마 힘이 되고자 송산3동에 후원을 하게 되었으며, 앞으로도 봉사와 나눔을 통해 도움이 필요한 곳에서 언제나 함께하겠다.”고 말했다.
