이에 올해는 통학버스 운영과 급식위생, 아동학대, 안전관리 등 안심 보육환경 조성을 위한 집중 점검과 보육교직원 처우개선을 위한 복무관리에 대한 점검 등을 추진할 계획이다.

점검대상은 속초시 전체 어린이집 52개소의 자체점검 및 평가를 실시하고 21개 어린이집에 대해서는 현장점검을 실시할 계획이다. 

한편, 속초시의 영유아 인구는 2,828명이며, 어린이집 52개소에 보육교직원은 566명이 재직 중이다. 

속초시 관계자는“어린이집의 지도ㆍ점검을 통해 안전한 어린이집 환경과 어린이집 적정성 확보와 운영의 내실화를 기해 믿고 맡길 수 있는 안심한 보육환경 조성을 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 말했다.
