[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 16일 동두천시는 부모 참여 중심으로 운영되는 2021년 열린어린이집 9개소를 선정하고 지정서를 교부했다고 밝혔다.

열린어린이집은 보건복지부가 아동학대 근절을 위해 추진하는 사업으로 어린이집 물리적 보육 환경 및 운영에 학부모가 참여하여 믿고 맡길 수 있는 투명하고 건강한 보육환경을 조성하는 것을 목적으로 한다고 했다.

동두천시는 열린어린이집을 신청한 어린이집 대상으로 개방성, 참여성, 지속가능성, 다양성, 우수프로그램 운영의 세부선정 항목에 따라 동두천시 열린어린이집 선정위원회의 심의를 거쳐 평가를 진행했다고 전했다. 

신규 열린어린이집은 꿈을키우는, 이담즐거운, 하늘숲어린이집 3개소가 선정되었으며, 재선정된 어린이집은 꼬마숲, 내행, 리틀꿈을키우는, 보산, 불현, 예솔어린이집으로 총 6개소이고, 올해 선정된 열린어린이집 9개소를 포함하여 동두천시에는 총 20개소의 열린어린이집이 운영 중이라고 했다.

최용덕 동두천시장은 “매년 새학기가 되면 학부모께서 아이를 믿고 맡길 수 있는 어린이집을 선정하는 것에 고심을 겪고 있으신 것으로 안다. 올해 선정된 열린어린이집에선 안전하고 양질의 보육서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 노력하여 주시기 바라며, 동두천시도 열린어린이집 확대 및 정기점검을 통해 신뢰 받는 안심 보육 환경을 만들어 나가겠다.”고 전했다.
