[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 22일 강원도소방본부는 안전한 성탄절 및 연말연시를 위해 특별경계근무를 추진한다고 밝혔다. 

근무기간은 성탄절은 오는 24일부터 27일, 연말연시는 31일부터 내달 3일까지라고 전했다.

강원도 소방본부는 소방공무원 및 의용소방대원 11,645명과 769대의 소방력 출동태세를 확립하고 응급환자 발생시 의료지도 체계 구축과 당직 의료기관, 약국정보도 제공 할 예정이라고 전했다.

중점 내용은 화재취약대상 예방활동 및 자율안전관리체계 강화, 재난초기대응체계 강화를 위한 관서장 중심의 현장대응, 해맞이 명소 등 사고대응을 위한 선제적 화재안전관리 체계 확립 등을 추진한다고 했다.

특히, 코로나19 인해 도내 행사는 취소됐지만 화재취약시설과 해맞이 명소 등 사람이 많이 몰리는 지역에 예방순찰을 강화 할 계획이라고 전했다.

최근 3년간(2018~2020년)간 성탄절과 연말연시 기간 중 도내에선 총 127건의 화재가 발생해 9명이 다쳤으며, 재산피해는 51억 7400만원이 발생했다고 했다.

권혁범 도 방호사법팀장은 “연말연시 부주의로 인한 화재가 증가하고 있어 화기 취급 시 안전수칙을 준수해 달라”고 당부하였으며, “도민이 안전하고 편안한 성탄절 및 연말연시를 보낼 수 있도록 대형화재 등 재난사고 예방과 신속한 대응을 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
