[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 평창군은 (재)푸드통합지원센터 및 생산농가와 체결했던 업무협약에 해당되는 친환경 급식용 쌀 중 한 달치 분량인 6.6톤을 이달 중 공급할 예정이라고 밝혔다.

군은 지난 2021년 12월 28일에 체결한 업무협약을 통해 관내에서 생산되는 친환경 인증 쌀을 공급하여 고품질 쌀 품질유지를 위해 노력하고 학생들의 건강증진에 기여하겠다는 계획을 발표한 바 있고, 평창군 학교급식용 쌀은 2021년 기준 32톤을 소비하였으며, 기존에는 강원도산 친환경 쌀이 공급됐으나 올해 처음으로 체결된 납품계약을 통하여 작년에 생산한 평창군 친환경 쌀 23톤을 학교급식에 공급할 예정이라고 전했다. 

군 농업기술센터는 급식용 쌀 납품을 시작으로 안정적 판로확보 등 공동협력사업도 향후 계획하고 있으며, 다른 친환경 쌀 사업 관련 생산지원 시범사업도 진행 중에 있다고 했다.

이상명 농업기술센터소장은 “지난 업무협약 체결을 통해 추진하는 친환경 급식용 쌀 공급을 차질 없이 진행할 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
