[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 의정부시는 미래세대인 청년에게 희망을 갖게 해줄 의정부시 청년센터가 새롭게 공간을 마련해 개관했다고 밝혔다.

청년센터는 의정부역으로부터 약 5분 거리에 소재해 접근이 용이하며, 의정부시 청년이면 누구나 자유롭게 무료로 이용할 수 있다고 했다.

3층은 카페식의 열린 공간으로 청년이 필요로 하는 다양한 정보를 습득할 수 있는 서적들로 가득한 열린서재와 언제든지 정보검색이 가능한 공유 오피스 아울러, 카페 공간도 조성되어 있어 청년들이 자유롭게 이야기하며 상호정보를 공유할 수 있는 공간으로 구성되어 있다고 했다.

4층은 다양한 촬영장비와 방송시설로 구성 된 미디어실과 개인역량 강화와 취·창업 관련 각종 프로그램 운영, 세미나 등의 진행이 가능한 다목적실, 기타 개인의 고민상담을 할 수 있고 대관 후 소규모 모임이 가능한 상담실, 청년도예공방 등으로 조성되어 있다고 전했다.

현재 청년센터는 유튜브 크리에이터, 청년 창업(평일반, 주말반), 스마트 스토어, 청년 도예공방(조형반, 물레반) 프로그램을 진행하고 있으며, 온라인 예약을 통해 대관 신청을 해 사용할 수 있다고 했다.
