동면 청소년문화의집 건립 사업은 지난 2020년도 강원도 청소년수련시설 확충 사업에 선정돼 추진된 사업으로, 총 18억 원의 사업비가 투입됐고, 지난 2020년 11월 착공된 후 1년 4개월 만에 준공된 동면 청소년문화의집은 1100㎡의 부지에 연면적 525㎡의 지상 2층 건물로 건립됐다고 전했다.

건물 1층은 문화공간으로 꾸며져 다목적실, 상담실, 정보검색실, 플레이존 및 야외 테라스 쉼터 등으로 이뤄졌고, 2층은 댄스연습실, 동아리실, 스터디카페로 구성된 여가공간이라고 했다.
